This level is a high-intensity training program geared toward the volleyball player looking for a higher level of play. Travel teams will be formed in the 12-18 & under age groups. Teams compete in the CEVA (Columbia Empire Volleyball Association) regional power league as well as several other USAV tournaments. Through this program, team members will learn the value of hard work, discipline, perseverance, leadership and teamwork.
TRYOUTS:
Participants must tryout to be considered. The number of teams and specific age groups offered by OVA depends on the number of girls at tryouts.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Practice: Each team practices 2x per week, 2 hrs each. We have the following practice time slots at Cascade Indoor Sports Center:
Monday & Weds 4:30-6:30pm
Monday & Weds 6:30-8:30pm
Tues & Thurs 4:30-6:30pm
Teams will be assigned one of these slots once teams have been formed. Every effort will be made to have the younger teams practice in the earlier time slots but its not guaranteed.
- Location: Cascade Indoor Sports Center
- Length of Season: December thru early May
- All teams will play in the CEVA Power Leagues, Regionals, and Willamette Classic and will play in one or two other sanctioned tournaments. Power Leagues are once a month (Jan-April) in Portland, Eugene, or Salem areas. Regionals are in mid April in Corvallis (OSU). Willamette Classic in early May at OSU.
