Oregon Volleyball Academy offers the following programs:
TRAVEL TEAMS: This level is a higher intensity training program geared toward the a volleyball player looking for a more competitive atmosphere. Travel teams will be formed in the 14-18 & under age groups. Teams compete in the CEVA (Columbia Empire Volleyball Association) regional Power League as well as several other USAV tournaments - typically held in the Portland, Salem or Eugene areas. Most teams will participate in at least one National Tournament. More information about Power League and this level can be found at www.columbiaempirevolleyball.com This level incorporates a higher level of expectation on the player and is designed towards the player looking to play at the high school level.
LOCAL TEAMS: This developmental program serves as an avenue for players to learn the game. Teams will try to be formed in age groups from 16&U to 12&U - with most tournaments taking place in Prineville. This program is geared toward the athlete who is looking for a shorter and less demanding season and is designed for those who have not played previously. The level of play is typically significantly less than those playing on travel teams and is mainly designed for the youngest levels. Tournaments have a much lower level of officiating and a lower level of player/team expectations. Again, its generally designed for those new to the sport or those who have not played a great deal.
