Central Oregon's Premier Volleyball Club for Junior Girls, Ages 10-18

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that the OVA travel teams rank among the best in the CEVA Power League standings - and they are the highest rated teams, at every age level, among any of the Central Oregon volleyball clubs!  Here are the 2011 Regional Results:

OVA/Rimrock 18’s Nationals – 2nd in Gold, 2nd overall (out of 52 teams)

OVA 18’s Kahuna – 3rd in Silver, 11th overall (out of 52 teams)

OVA 14’s Mano – 6th in Silver, 14th overall (out of 124 teams)

OVA 12’s Koa – 5th in Bronze; (20th out of 50)

OVA 16-1 Wahine – 7th Bronze; (26th out of 99)

OVA 16-2 Mano – 3rd in Conquest; (43rd out of 99)

Did you know that OVA is the largest volleyball club in Central Oregon?  This season, we have over 14 teams and 130 athletes in our program.  And OVA is the only registered non-profit volleyball club in Central Oregon.

Did you know that OVA has 7 travel teams playing the Columbia Empire Volleyball Association's Power League?  We have 2 18&U teams, 3 16&U teams, 2 14's team and a 12's travel team.

Did you know that our combined OVA/Rimrock 18&U Nationals Team is considered one of the top teams on the west coast?  They also represented Oregon and SW Washington at the Junior National Championships in Atlanta!

Did you know that over half of this combined Nationals 18&U Team is comprised of players who began their career with OVA?

Did you know that in the 2011 volleyball season,  3 current/former OVA players were named to the 5A All-State Team and 1, Gabby Crowell, was named to 5A Player of the Year?  That's more than any other club in Central Oregon. 

Did you know that 11 current/former OVA players made All-Conference honors in their league in 2011?

Did you know that OVA remains committed to bringing the best volleyball players together from across Central Oregon - no matter what school they attend?

Did you know that this year OVA has high school players from Mountain View High School, Bend High, Redmond, Summit and Sisters?

Did you know that OVA Coach Jill Waskom, taking this year off and just helping out as needed, was named the 2011 Oregon 5A Volleyball Coach of the Year - her 4th time!  

Did you know that OVA players have gone on to play at numerous colleges (from the Pac-10 to the smaller universities/colleges) across the country?  And did you know that OVA players are being recruited right now by colleges across the NW and beyond?

Did you know that Liz Hewitt (OVA coach of a 14's local team) has won numerous awards in coaching volleyball, including Oregon Coach of the Year?

Did you know that the vast majority of the OVA coaching staff all played volleyball in college?

Did you know that the OVA travel teams are some of the highest ranked teams in Power League?

Did you know that OVA is committed to allowing our athletes to play other sports at their schools?  We remain committed to having our athletes maintain well rounded lives.

Oregon Volleyball Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  The academy was founded by a couple of volleyball enthusiasts that want nothing more than to give back to the sport that gave so much to them.
