The exact 2011/2012 Coaching Staff is still tbd, but OVA pride's itself on offering the best coaching staff possible. To that end, the following coaching staff is confirmed for this season:
Turner Waskom (18's Select): Director of OVA and long time club/high school coach; pretty much the greatest coach of all time. And he maintains the website.......
Jessie Armstrong (18's Select): Jessie played collegiately at Southern Oregon Univ. before starting her coaching career at Bend High School. A long time OVA coach, we are excited to have her back on staff this season.
Jason Ring (16's Elite): All-American MB for the Univ. of Hawaii, played professionally on both the AVP and European indoor league, former member of US National Team
Drew Schulte (16's Elite): former HS coach for both Summit and MV, played collegiately
Shawn Paulino (16's Silver): former setter at Western Oregon Univ, coached club previously
Liz Hewitt (14's Liz): current asst. coach at Bend High School, numerous coaching awards in her long career as Head Coach at Bend, including Oregon Coach of the Year
Jill McKae (14's Silver): Head coach at Mountain View HS; played collegiately at the Univ. of California - Davis.
Crista Jones (14's Elite): former OH for the Univ. of La Verne, Frosh Coach at Summit
Faith Lauray (14's Elite): JV coach at Summit, played at Redmond and Rimrock
Kristin Bryan (16 Blue): former JV coach at Mountain View HS and prev coach with OVA
Ban Tat (12 Travel): long time coach with OVA, coached the 18U Travel Team for OVA last season, former coach OSU club team
Nicole Ruttke (12's Nicole): All-IMC setter at Summit, helped the Storm win the State Championship in 2011; coached 14U Travel Team for OVA in 2010/2011
Jenny Long (14's Jenny): played collegiately and coached for OVA last season
Alicia Roe (14's Alicia): stand-out player at Bend High School, coached club for last several years with club in Colorado
Kristin Cooper (12's Kristin): Current Head Volleyball Coach for Bend High School, former standout collegiate player in Californian; led the Lava Bears to the state playoffs the last several seasons
Gale Putnam (14's Gale): Current head volleyball coach at Pilot Butte Middle School; longtime coach with OVA
